The prodigal daughter returns

…but just for a little while.

I haven’t been around here in ages(ok, just 2 weeks but I know you missed me). Crazy weeks and my internet was down because my old company was bought by a new company and they had to adjust things(and here I thought that that’s what they’ve been doing for the past 5 months. How silly of me). And all the adjusting meant that they forgot to switch on some streets and apparently I live on one of them and I had to go sort it out with the nice people at the new company. Oh, how fun. Did you know it’s damn well near impossible to get anything done in the week before Easter(no, I’m not lost in time, Orthodox Easter is this weekend)? But now it’s done and I am back and I shall be back to posting just as soon as the holiday(and chocolate) is over. ‘Cause I have a big box of cherry liquor chocolate bonbons and I’ll be damned if I will let them live. Yes, I am anticipating quite a struggle but I am strong and I shall prevail! **maniacal laughter* And tomorrow I have to go shopping for a birthday gift for a friend(the joy of shopping in stores filled with people running last minute errands is overwhelming). And meet dad if we have time(quite a close knit family I have here, can you tell?). And in two or three weeks I have to go dress shopping again, this time for my cousin’s wedding(didn’t I just go shopping for a dress? Why do I have to buy another one, you ask? Well I have no clue but the intricate workings of my mother’s brain elude even me sometimes).

In other news, I got the official letter from UCAS(university and college admissions service) confirming my place. Yay! Of course, the lack of internet meant that I got to spend 2 to 3 hours every day outside, drinking coffee and waiting for the mailman(that was the less crazy part of my time. And it’s a mailwoman, but whatever). And in the latest league tables Leicester University went up 8 places, from 20 to 12. I’m getting excited. Now I just have to wait for the accommodation package to arrive(and we all know how good I am with waiting).

Also, I’m proud to say that I lived thru another hellish weekend with my family and almost didn’t attack anyone(the almost part comes from me slapping my sort-of-uncle’s hands away when he tried to pinch my cheeks. I do not react well to people trying to touch me. Oh well, maybe he learned his lesson-I doubt it though. I am not cute, cuddly and 2. Don’t touch me without my consent, ok?).

Now please excuse me while I go fight with the chocolate. It’s tough but someone’s got to do it :D.

Happy Easter.

Hey,when your internet bugs u just think of mine and all will be better 'cause I'm closing in to the 1 year mark of internet problems.

Good luck with that chocolate,I know u can do it,u're a strong little soldier.
I'm more of a fried meat and fries kind of 'gal so I'll go beat that lamb to death(the already dead lamb that's been cooked 'cause I don't really like killing cute little animals)

So I'm not the only one that's been missing from the blog roll :D. Comforting to know.

I'm going to study Chemistry with Forensic Science. I'm more excited about the Forensic bit but I really wanted to go there and that was the only option.

And yes, I know it's extremly exciting. I've been thinking about having them framed but that might be a bit over the top, right? Anyway they're pinned on my wall('cause that is normal). Heh, good luck with your lamb. We will win!

Thank you all for the welcome back. It's good to be here.
